Discussion on WaterAid Projects and Programmes in Bangladesh
Department of Environmental, Water Resources, and Coastal Engineering arranged a group discussion between the faculty members and an expert from WaterAid Bangladesh on 2nd August 2022. Dr. Nurullah Awal was the guest speaker who is working as a health advisor of WaterAid Bangladesh. The guest speaker discussed their projects regarding faecal sludge management, rainwater harvesting, pro-poor WASH policies, and menstrual hygiene management in Bangladesh. He also enlightened the attendees about the projects of WaterAid which bring safe water and improved sanitation and promote hygiene behavior, public and mobile toilets. Alongside, how this department's graduates might advance their research and careers on this platform and broaden their expertise through training, institutional networks, and horizontal learning from this global NGO was discussed.
